Income-eligible residents of unincorporated Hillsborough Temple Terrace and Plant City can apply to received deferred payment loans for down paymentas and closing costs as well as for help with obtaininvg first mortgage financing through privatelendinf institutions, a release said. Applicants may be eligiblew to receive upto $40,000, said Jack Carlisle, interim programs manager for the Affordable Housing Department. The fundinbg will come from the ’s HOME Investmenrt Partnerships Program, said Carlisle. Only lenderes — and not residents — can submiy applications to reserve a portion of the therelease said.
Lenders who wish to applyy must first obtain designation asa “certifie d lender partner” by attending a workshop on June 1 at 2 p.m. at the Hillsboroughu County Brandon Regional Service 311Pauls Drive, Brandon. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on June 3, lenderss who complete the workshop can apply to reserve a portion of the fundes for the residents at the Affordabls Housing Department office at 1208 Tech Suite 300, in Tampa. Each lende will be allowed up to thred applicationsper day, which will be accepte d in the order in which they are received until the money is said Carlisle.
