Previously the school was called theJesse H. Jonezs Graduate School of Management. In conjunction with the name the school will create a new logo that incorporatesz the Rice University nameand shield. Through research, the graduate school said it found that most top MBA programs used the term ratherthan “management,” and that people performing onlin e searches to find the school were using the term “The update in the Jones School’s name and graphicc identity better reflects our association with Rice Universit and provides clearer brandinyg for the Jones School’s exciting programd and initiatives,” Bill Glick, dean of the Jones said in a statement.
“Everyone already knows us as abusinesas school. The ‘business’ designation in our new name bettetr captures the breadth of our current In addition, a new Web site will launcjh in August. Other changes for the school include adding a weekendeMBA program.
